A day drive from LA up the coast is Berkeley, California’s famed Chez Panisse, opened in 1971 and credited with pioneering the modern American farm-to-table movement, emphasizing local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients by sourcing directly from nearby farms.
On Wednesday morning of the competition, a few chefs will hit the LA Farmers Market and pick up whatever is fresh and seasonal that day—with a few surprises of course. Diced competition chefs will need to channel their inner Chef Alice Waters and offer a short plate that speaks to the season and delights our judging panel.
Six chefs will compete in this live mystery box themed competition at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA, emceed by Chef Robin Selden, Marcia Selden Catering & Events. A little bit "Chopped" and a little bit freewheeling fun, the 2026 Diced winner will receive a $1,500 Amazon gift card. Runner up receives a $500 gift card. Interested in competing?
