Robert Ryan, Executive Chef, Nicole's Catering
Chef Robert Ryan is a distinguished culinary professional based in Albany, New York; with a unique journey that exemplifies dedication and a passion for the culinary arts. He began his culinary career at 14 to earn extra income, which sparked a lifelong passion for the hospitality industry. His early Kitchen experiences built a solid foundation, as Rob eagerly learned every back-of-house position.
He had just turned 19 when he secured his first Executive Chef position at a fine dining establishment in the heart of Downtown Albany. It was here where his love for Italian food blossomed. He found a since of comfort in the simplicity of the fresh robust flavors in each dish. In the kitchen, he found a home where he thrived; integrating the fresh ingredients with his growing techniques and letting his product speak for itself.
Catering is where Rob has been able spotlight his unique strengths, managing to fuse his “home-cooked” nostalgia with groups of hundreds. Nicole’s Catering in Albany is the region’s most sought-after full-service catering company, and it is where Rob currently resides as their Executive Chef of Catering Operations. Margaret and Sarah have an admirable passion for this industry, and he was thrilled to join and help build their amazing team.
