A culinary enthusiast that has a wild passion and pursuit of perfection as it relates to all things edible. Chef Winston Williams has not only raised the bar for Caribbean haute cuisine but has also created a heightened awareness for “Floribbean Cuisine” …..Classical cuisine with a Caribbean twist. From his show Stopping, Keylime Broiled Grouper with a Coconut Mojito Sauce to the very popular Floribbean Beef Skillet Roast, “Like Butta” and his very innovative signature Carambola Vinaigrette, Chef Winston has made this a very relevant affair. Chef Winston’s culinary excitement has taken MAIN STAGE. A native from the U.S. Virgin Islands, AMERICAS PARADISE… Chef Winston first realized his passion for cooking while helping his mother and grandmother prepare family recipes that had been passed down for generations. His education started in his mother’s kitchen. Chef Winston quickly became an aggressor in the culinary world from high school. He managed to hold down a full time rigorous high school schedule, all while working full time at a 5-star 4- diamond resort on the island that included 5 unique concepts, all in which he was an intricate key player to include multiple banquet spaces and onsite pastry shop. After making his way throughout this venue Chef Winston decided to feed his hunger and drive by broadening his horizon outside of the island, with hopes to return home and claim his rightfully earned title as executive chef. The result of this decision landed him at Florida Culinary Institute in 1990.Once Chef Winston graduated, fate took him on a different path as he worked his way through some of the most prestigious country clubs and resorts in Palm Beach. During the summer Chef Winston traveled to New England as an assistant chef to further his already well-defined future and add to his culinary repert. In 1999 Chef Winston decided to take a leap of faith into entrepreneurship and thus his love of being a culinary problem solver, he quickly learned how to create a field kitchen for special events. This constant situation of unequipped outside events became his focus and once it was mastered, he conquered the anomalies of outside events, a task that is feared by most culinarians. From providing outside fare to 5 super bowl events To Couture weddings, everything leading up to this point was very necessary and relevant to chef Winston’s current success. From the rained-out events, to the last-minute unavailable use of necessary equipment, this has all taught him to pay special attention to detail, to be proactive and respectful of time. It was from this experience Chef Winston was now armed with the sweat, tears and tools that was obtained through the “Pursuit of Perfection” . In 2007 Chef Winston purchased his location for his, which he proudly calls his “STAGE”. Owner and Executive Chef, from the U.S Virgin Islands, this culinary wonder now manages to run his own Catering business “CateringCC”, provides personal Chef services, curated dinners, catering consultations, cooking classes and last but certainly not least he has become a culinary philanthropist through his YouTube channel for simple meals geared towards the home cook. Thanks to his YouTube channels, Chef Winston has become a local icon in the culinary arena and is looked upon by a whole new generation of budding chefs and caterers who take inspiration from him and consider Chef Winston as their “mentor and role model” within the industry. Chef Winston has appeared on several food and cooking shows, where he was called for his expertise and guidance or, as a judge. The appeal and reach of many of Chef Winston’s customers were acquired through his excellent reputation for attention to detail. Persnickety… he maybe and it has proven to leave an impact, in any event, he may lead, you will always know, there’s evidence “Chef Winston was here”! Whether it be an outside special event or indoor life-changing event, #chefwinstongotthat!
