Adriel Sims, Catering Director, SMU HOSPITALITY
With over 18 years of experience in the culinary industry, Adriel's journey began in her family's restaurant, a beloved establishment that thrived for over 20 years. There, she gained extensive front- and back-of-house experience and discovered her true passion for hospitality. Blending her love for food with a natural eye for art and visuals, Adriel launched her own catering and event company, known for producing luxurious and unforgettable experiences. Her creativity, dedication, and all-in attitude earned her the nickname Chef A.D. All Day—a tribute to her drive to give 100% until the job is done. In 2020, she opened a creative studio space designed for aspiring chefs and photographers to document and showcase their work. That same visionary approach led her to Aramark Corporation, where she now serves as the Assistant Director of Catering at Southern Methodist University (SMU). In this role, Adriel continues to lead with purpose, sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of culinary professionals.
