Talia Rogers, Owner/Creative Director, Talia Felicia Events + Design
Talia, whose niche centers on storytelling, event branding and logistics, has been a professional event manager and designer since 2010. With over 10 years of event and project management experience, she has overseen the administration of $8.9 million in federal grant funds, 58 centers and 20 different agencies. In addition, she has managed event budgets nearing half a million dollars. Talia's portfolio includes work with small to mid-size non-profits, as well as large corporations such as Google. Additionally, she has managed multi-day conferences and end-to-end logistics for events with an attendance of up to 3500. Since 2019, Talia has had the privilege of serving the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida; a top 5 public university. Planning and executing nearly 50 events in her first year, she successfully developed and pivoted to virtual and hybrid event models at the height of the global pandemic. As a result, Talia has added the title of executive producer to her skill set. Beginning early 2022, Talia will re-enter the world of full-time event entrepreneurship, while also focusing on her passion of teaching others to 'be their own brand of genius' in the event space. When she's not flexing her logistics and design muscles, she can be found with a student group or a community of practice cultivating relationships, and dishing about the 'real' of being an event professional. Some of her most important work is helping train the next generation of #eventprofs as an adjunct professor in the department of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management in the College of Health and Human Performance at UF. You may also see her delivering smiles and party boxes to hospitalized children as a Birthday Fairy with the Confetti Foundation, or running around like a kid in the candy store at Disney World!
