Maria Phillips, Pastry Chef, The Chef's Table
Growing up Maria always thought her path would lead to an occupation related to fashion or art. As she started the process of her portfolio, she found that cooking was her stress reliever. After many attempts to finish my portfolio pieces, it occurred to her that cooking brought her joy, and was the correct path for her. She attended two years of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales College, and then continued another year to obtain the Pastry Arts Degree. She has been in the food service industry from restaurants, to institutional facilities, and catering companies. Currently, the Pastry Chef at The Chef's Table in Marshfield, Massachusetts. She enjoys all aspects that lead to the end product, from creating to planning and executing. The diversity in clients needs, keeps the position exciting and challenging.
