Liz Mullen, Culinary Director, Chowgirls Catering
Liz Mullen is a Mother, Culinary Director, Food Activist and Artist. After 30 years in the hospitality Industry, she has found a pivotal career with Chowgirls Catering in Minneapolis, MN.
Here she has been able to help create a purposeful work environment through thoughtful procurement, inclusive and kind kitchen culture and in 2020 starting Kitchen Coalition providing free community meals for our neighbors which has grown to feed over 6 million meals, providing hundreds of jobs across local kitchens and has contributed 26 million to the local economy.
She is passionate about food waste reduction serving on The Homegrown City Council and receiving a Public Health Hero award for the work she continues to do with her local health department and hospitality community on how to reduce the waste in our industry.
She believes food is our big connection and a pathway to spark creativity, have meaningful conversations and to create change.
