Terry Matthews-Lombardo, CMP, has learned a lot during a lifetime of planning meetings and events. Mostly that contrary to popular opinion, you always sweat the small stuff in this industry. Among the first to become certified back in 1987, Terry has a solid background in travel, hotels, and attractions, and has been working meeting magic all over the globe as a professional planner for a variety of corporate, association, and incentive clients. But her side hustle and alter ego is that of an industry writer. So, when she’s not working on site with a client program somewhere in the world, you can find her tapping away at the keyboard where she creates entertaining stories about her travels and industry insights. When the convention business came to a halt in 2020, Terry gathered a collection of some pretty great true stories of what goes on behind the chaotic scenes of meetings and special events and published a book, appropriately titled Meetings Mayhem!
