Ethan Mantle is the President and Founder of Componere Fine Catering, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Componere has been called “the Bay Area's premier high-end catering company” by Inc. Magazine, recognized by Bloomberg as having “meals as good as the French Laundry,” and Silicon Valley Magazine said “Componere compares to the best restaurants in the Bay Area.”
Prior to founding Componere more than a decade ago, Ethan trained as a chef in several of the world’s top Michelin starred restaurants including Georges Blanc in Vonnas, France, The French Laundry in the Napa Valley with Chef Thomas Keller, and Fleur de Lys in San Francisco when it was the number one ranked restaurant in the city. Ethan graduated with Honors from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. where he was selected by his peers to be the class graduation speaker and received the school's two most prestigious awards — The Wine Spectator Award for Excellence and the Williams-Sonoma Scholarship. He also has completed the SBA’s 30-week “Crash Course MBA Progam,” led by successful Bay Area entrepreneurs.
Componere caters many of the Bay Area’s high profile events as well as destination VIP events, ranging from celebrity weddings to larger corporate events, such as a 900 person sit down dinner on Coronado Island in San Diego, or six days of launch events for BMW’s new multi-billion dollar plant in South Carolina. In addition to catering many smaller and mid-sized events, Componere has become known for raising the bar for premier large events, such as Apple’s World Wide Developer’s Conference and the annual Quail Motorsports event.
