With more than 20 years of success leading fast-paced businesses in VP to C-suite roles, in a market where client demands and economic climate changes make meticulous planning and absolute efficiency a must. Most of my career has been in the business side of the special event and catering space. Most recently, I took on a 3 year turnaround project and Chief Experience Officer at NOLA Motorsports Park, in greater New Orleans. Where previous management saw a racetrack, I saw multiple profitable food and sports experiences in a one of a kind environment. By broadening the park's mission to include more special events and unique experiences, I systematically and strategically improved operational efficiencies. I have guided another business with eight operating divisions through a period of rapid growth to market share leadership, conceived the idea for and developed systems and repeatable processes needed to lead a successful spin-off of a franchise concept from one of the operating divisions, and then returned to the parent company to enable it not only to survive but to thrive in the current economic downturn; increasing both market share and profitability. My broad skill set and hands-on experience include enterprise-wide process reengineering and technology implementation, sales force management, corporate relocation, inventory and warehouse management, logistics, purchasing, financial analysis and strategic planning—virtually every aspect of running a successful business. My focus is on company mission and vision, while always looking for cost saving and process improvement initiatives to implement as well as new opportunities to create revenue using available resources and talents. With a B.A. in Finance and an M.S. in Information Systems, I refer to myself as a "Geekified Real Person" who can speak "Tech" as needed, and facilitate a technology-enabled, knowledge management environment where results are repeatable. This is a benefit for your organization since the industry runs on Word and Excel in most environments. In the past, I worked with our ERP software provider (Synergy International – Fusion) to develop time and cost saving mobile apps for the catering industry. When the situation has called for it, I have not hesitated to get in the trenches, working side-by-side with my teams to ensure success. Creating a work environment that allows employees to stretch themselves, I encourage creativity and calculated risk taking that ultimately can add the greatest benefit to a company's bottom line. My tenaciousness, ownership mentality, and contagious enthusiasm are readily transmitted to teams under my leadership.
