Jamie Lee Quickert’s social media feed could read like this: Happy Wife. Fashionista. Successful businesswoman. Nationally known speaker nominated for multiple Speaker of the Year Awards. Winner of Business Journals 40 Under 40.
It could also read like this: Lonely. Fraud. Shame. Insecurity. Depression. Imposter.
As a micro-influencer with thousands of followers, Jamie knows firsthand the effects of social media. In today’s society, it can be hard to judge what is real and what is curated. Comparing yourself and your business to others’ social media feeds can lead to depression and burnout. Comments from strangers can pile up, either giving you an inflated sense of accomplishment from the accolades or questioning your self-worth because of hateful trolling. This leaves many people struggling with self-doubt and Imposter syndrome.
It doesn’t have to be this way!
In this honest discussion, Jamie will talk about her own struggles with imposter syndrome and break down the lies we tell ourselves. She will be joined by the Founder of Event Therapy Network, Charresa Sawyer to talk through practical ways to disconnect with the world and reconnect with yourself.
