With the current climate and shift in the event industry, it is now more important than ever to showcase a portfolio of work and personal skills rather than a written resume showcasing one area of expertise. The strongest selling points of any individual are their interpersonal skills, various levels of creativity, and success in leading teams of various people to a shared goal with passionate leadership and positive encouragement. A person's comprehensive portfolio of various professional and creative endeavors is the strongest business card that can be handed to a potential client. In addition, an enthusiastic personality is essential in order to navigate the current uncharted waters in the event and hospitality industries, and also think outside the box for more diverse events and projects to benefit the future of events and production.
This session will help attendees create a distinct and unique portfolio of work and skills specific to their life experience and individual personalities. It will also help identify their strong suits and diversity of skills over a broad range of professional experience throughout their careers. They will also learn how to tailor personal and professional websites to convey information in the appropriate tone to their various audiences. In addition, the session would include exercises in creative skills and brainstorming for more diverse ideas in the creation of guest experiences. Attendees would leave with specific direction for creating a tailored portfolio of work and driving the right business and opportunities for continued success.
