Certified Special Events Professional

In 15 years of owning an event design agency, I have relished the opportunity to design and produces events people LOVE! But as the agency grew, I grew to hate one part of the job: managing other people. Events I understood: You command the process and plan for and control the risks. But those very skill that made me a good event producer turned out t make me a pretty terrible boss. Command and control lead to miscommunication, missed expectations, stress and burnout. During the COVID pause, I choose a different path and embraced a trust and inspire leadership approach. And I was shocked with the result: more effective teams of employees and contractors who are bought into their responsibilities and a workplace culture I love. In this session, I'll share my transformation and give you a simple tool to embrace change with your team.
