Going Beyond The Zoom. What makes a digital "event" worthy of the word.
How to take the in person experience and successfully translate into a truly interactive, digital experience.
So, we've made the "pivot", the painstaking process of taking real in person events (conferences, brand launches, multi sponsor award shows, pop ups etc) and converting them into online experiences. But what exactly constitutes an "event" and what is simply a dressed-up zoom call, a passive live stream or webinar and essentially a passive viewing experience? We are of the belief that to be called an "event" it must have interaction, participation, and most importantly, a journey for each guest they can navigate, from exciting arrivals to clever sponsor integrations, and the main space that still has a well designed, AHA moment when you walk in. In other words, it is still a well-designed EXPERIENCE for each guest. As we at AGENC Experiential + Digital are not strangers to live stream and broadcast, this is something we have been doing with our clients for many years, we are working feverishly to up the game and insist that the word "event" or experience" still constitutes the basic elements of human interaction (not a chat box), discovery, surprise, delight and something to dress up for! Still, the virtual "event" journey and these platforms are all new. So this timeframe of having our slates wiped clean have been about figuring out how to really take our guests at home on areal event journey, that is worthy of the word EVENT.
