Rachanee Teipen, Executive Chef, Conrad Hotel
Rachanee Teipen grew up in an adventurous food environment encompassing her Thai heritage. There was never any question that food would be her life's passion. Rachanee spent 11 years as Executive Chef at Thomas Caterers of Distinction in Indianapolis, Indiana before taking over as Executive Chef for the Conrad Hotel in Indianapolis. Rachanee is a graduate of the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago with a degree In Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. Chef Rachanee has also been featured in numerous articles in Catersource magazine, Catering magazine, Special Events magazine, and BizBash. Rachanee is a 5-time International CATIE Awards winner and her work was instrumental in winning Best Plated Menu in 2011, Signature Caterer for Best Event in 2015, Best Hors d'oeuvre in 2016, and Best Plate Presentation & Best Signature Caterer for Best Wedding in 2017. Chef Rachanee was also nominated as a finalist for the 2017 CATIE Award for Chef of the Year. She is currently a member of the International Caterers Association Culinary Council Steering Committee, and an active current member of the American Culinary Federation Greater Indianapolis Chapter. For the past five years, Chef Rachanee has been a fundamental speaker at the Art of Catering Food and at Catersource.
